by Hoonah Travel Adventures
This small-group whale-watching cruise lasts about three hours and departs from Hoonah, Alaska, near Icy Strait Point. The tour uses custom-built vessels equipped with heated cabins and restrooms for comfort. Participants travel through the nutrient-rich waters of Glacier Bay and Icy Strait, where large numbers of humpback whales arrive each season to feed. These whales typically appear from May through September before migrating south for the winter. The cruise includes private transportation, a local guide, snacks, and all fees and taxes. Departure times depend on cruise ship schedules. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and cruise ship passengers need to provide their ship name when booking. Smoking is not allowed on the vessel.

Following the cruise, guests may choose to remain in town or return. From the Hoonah Travel Adventures Transportation Hub, shuttles depart every 30 minutes. Note that the port area does not have cellular or WiFi service, so guests should have printed copies of their connecting instructions.
