by Ziptrek Ecotours
Whistler is located between the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, divided by a white-water creek. This zipline tour lasts about two and a half hours and includes gliding along several steel ziplines suspended high above the creek. The guides provide safety equipment including harnesses and helmets, and manage all aspects of zipline safety during the tour. Transportation from Whistler Village to the zipline area and back is included. The tour also covers mountain ecology and environmental topics alongside the zipline activities. Participants should wear closed-toe, secure shoes, as sandals and slip-ons are not allowed. The tour runs in most weather conditions, with options for rescheduling or refunds if canceled due to poor weather. Weight restrictions apply depending on the specific zipline tour chosen, and children between 6 and 14 years must be accompanied by someone aged 15 or older.
Meet and Gear Up in Village
Participants meet Ziptrek staff in Whistler Village and are fitted with a sanitized harness and helmet. A short ride via Gondola for the Eagle Tour or Van for the Bear Tour transports them to the adventure's starting location. The tour includes zipping across a series of ziplines on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, with lines ranging from 600 to 2400 feet long and speeds reaching 50 kph on Bear Tour and 80 kph on Eagle Tour.
