Overview

Day 1 | Ginzan Onsen × Naruko Onsen Head to Ginzan Onsen, a classic scenic spot in Tohoku, Japan. In winter, the hot spring town is covered in snow, making it exceptionally romantic. Stroll along the riverbank, admiring the retro wooden inns and the twinkling lights of the hot spring town, as if traveling back a hundred years in Japan. In the evening, check into a hot spring hotel in the Naruko area, relax from travel fatigue in a warm bath, and enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine. Day 2 | Zao Juhyo (Snow Monsters) × Zao Fox Village Head to Zao Juhyo to witness a world-rare natural wonder. The heavy snow and strong winds create the spectacular "Snow Monster Forest," a must-see in winter. Afterward, visit Zao Fox Village to get up close with lively little foxes. On the return journey, stop at the Onihira Edo-dokoro service area, where Edo-style charm brings together food and souvenirs, perfect for replenishing energy and buying mementos. Arrive in Tokyo in the evening, concluding a memorable two-day trip to the snow country. Ropeway Ticket Plan Description (Please refer to your booked plan) This tour includes or does not include Zao Ropeway tickets depending on the selected plan. There are three plans in total: Tickets not included | Depart from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station: Does not include ropeway tickets. You can purchase tickets on-site. Tickets included (subject to same-day availability) | Depart from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station: Includes round-trip ropeway tickets. Ropeway tickets are sold in limited quantities on the day; if sold out, we will assist with a refund for the ropeway ticket. If Zao Ropeway cannot be ridden due to weather or long queues, you will be transferred to Zao Chuo Ropeway, and the price difference will be refunded. Tickets included (guaranteed issuance) | Depart from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station: Includes round-trip ropeway tickets. Guaranteed issuance, ensuring you receive tickets after booking, unaffected by same-day limits. If Zao Ropeway is suspended due to force majeure such as weather, you will be transferred to Zao Chuo Ropeway, and the price difference will be refunded. If both ropeways are suspended, the full ropeway fee will be refunded. Fox Village Visit Tips Fox Village is a privately operated facility with a limited number of visitors per day and is closed every Wednesday. If you cannot visit due to closure, crowd control, or unconfirmed reservations, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Shiroishi Castle or Ouchi-juku. Entry to Fox Village cannot be guaranteed.
