【Asahiyama Zoo】 Asahiyama Zoo is the only zoo in Japan where you can see snow country animals such as polar bears and penguins. Here, you can observe their adorable behavior in the snow up close. The zoo has multiple interactive areas, such as penguin walks and seal feeding, allowing you to get up close and personal with the animals. 【Shikisai no Oka】 This is a beautiful flower field covering an area of 15 hectares, with flowers arranged in a staggered manner. Tulips bloom in April, poppies and lupines in June, lavender in July, sunflowers and dahlias in August, cosmos, large-flowered pansies, and wild cotton in late August, and scarlet sage and snapdragons in October. Over 30 kinds of flowers bloom in succession on the rolling hills throughout the year, looking like a carpet that changes colors with the seasons. In winter, the vast garden is covered with white snow, transforming into a joyful snow park with snowmobiles, sleds, snow rafting, and other recreational activities. 【The Unique "Lonely" Christmas Tree】 This "Lonely Christmas Tree" (Yūnyūnyū no Ki) located in Biei Town is one of Hokkaido's most popular internet-famous photo spots. It is a spruce tree standing alone in a field, named for its resemblance to a Christmas tree. 【Ningle Terrace】 Winter is the most beautiful season for Ningle Terrace. In the evening, the entire forest is lit up with warm lights, and the snow-covered wooden cabins appear particularly dreamy in the light and shadow, making it an excellent spot for photos.
