Overview

Qin Yuan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum is located in the core area of Xi'an Beilin Culture – Shuyuanmen Historical and Cultural Block, which is not only an important node of the ancient city's cultural context but also a fertile ground for the living inheritance of intangible cultural heritage skills. As a comprehensive cultural space integrating intangible cultural heritage display, skill experience, cultural research and study, and creative incubation, the museum is committed to bringing thousands of years of intangible cultural heritage into public life in a tangible, participatory, and perceptible way, with the core concept of "revitalizing intangible cultural heritage and linking ancient and modern times." Terracotta Army DIY: Use clay and other materials to create terracotta warrior figurines by hand. You can gain an in-depth understanding of the historical and cultural background of the Terracotta Army, learn ancient sculpture techniques, restore the unique style of the Qin Dynasty army through the carving of details such as the terracotta warriors' armor and hair buns, and take away your own "Terracotta Army" work as a souvenir after completion. Ancient Incense Tablets: Prepare exquisite incense tablets according to the traditional incense recipe ratio. Incense tablets can not only be used as personal aromatherapy with a long-lasting fragrance, but also provide an in-depth understanding of traditional incense culture. Bamboo Weaving Boat: Learn traditional bamboo weaving techniques, experience the ingenuity of craftsmen, weave a delicate bamboo boat by hand, feel the exquisite and unique nature of traditional handicrafts, and use the finished boat as a home decoration to preserve beautiful memories. Intangible Cultural Heritage Knotting and Beading: Learn traditional knotting techniques, such as the Pan Chang knot and the auspicious knot, and combine them with various beads for stringing and combination. You can make bracelets, necklaces, pendants and other accessories, appreciate the exquisite nature of traditional knot culture in the process of hands-on creation, and feel the ingenious combination of traditional craftsmanship and fashionable jewelry design. Tie-dye Canvas Bag / Bamboo Bag: Use natural plant dyes such as radix isatidis and indigo to create unique blue and white or colorful halo-dyed patterns on canvas bags or bamboo bags. Make your own practical and beautiful special bags, experience the magic of tie-dye, a traditional dyeing technique, and integrate traditional techniques into modern fashion life. Qin Yuan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum is not only a "museum" of traditional culture, but also a "laboratory for living inheritance," a "field of inspiration for creative ideas," and a "reception room for dialogue between ancient and modern times." Here, every touch of the bamboo strips, every stroke outlining the color of the fan, and every wisp of fragrance lingering at the tip of the nose is a tribute to and continuation of the millennium-old culture. Whether you are a cultural enthusiast, a family with children, or a tourist from afar, you can find your own way to "open intangible cultural heritage" here and let ancient skills regain their vitality in contemporary life.

Please be patient as queues may be expected during peak hours. Please maintain silence in public areas, avoid loud conversations or arguments, and be considerate of others. Allow ample time to account for unexpected situations such as traffic congestion and weather changes to avoid delays. When working with pottery clay, it is recommended to roll up your sleeves to prevent clay from getting into the crevices of watches and bracelets. Children should be supervised by an adult to prevent accidental ingestion of the clay. When applying dripped lacquer to create a lacquer fan, control the amount and distance carefully, keeping closer to the water surface to prevent the lacquer from splashing onto clothing. During the process, try not to touch the undried lacquer surface to prevent fingerprints or damage to the design. When making a rubbing, avoid contact between hair and paint or rubbing tools, as this may affect the operation. Initial rubbings may result in unclear patterns or smudging. Practice the technique on scrap material before proceeding with the final piece. When creating paper cuttings, avoid wearing clothing with wide sleeves, tassels, or elaborate decorations to prevent snagging the scissors or paper. Children must be accompanied by an adult during operation. Do not blow on paper scraps to prevent saliva from wetting the paper and affecting subsequent operations. When making beaded bracelets/hand ropes/pendants, immediately return scissors, lighters, crochet hooks, and other tools to their original place after use to prevent children from touching them or losing them (e.g., small beading needles can easily roll off). Some spices may cause allergic reactions. If you have a history of spice allergies, please inform staff in advance. When smelling, inhale gently and stop immediately if you feel unwell.
