by Melbourne River Cruises
This dinner cruise on the Yarra River lasts about three hours and takes place on a floating restaurant. Guests dine on a gourmet menu while the riverboat moves along the water through Melbourne. The city skyline gradually lights up as the cruise passes waterfront parks and local attractions. During the cruise, beer, wine, soft drinks, premium spirits, and liqueurs are available to enjoy with the meal. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included.
Southbank Promenade
The dinner cruise starts at Southbank Promenade on the southern bank of the Yarra River. Passengers board the Spirit of Melbourne, a fully enclosed floating restaurant, which travels upriver. During the cruise, guests see landmarks such as Federation Square, Rod Laver Arena, Flinders Station, Riverside Park, AAMI Park, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. A 4-course meal prepared by experienced chefs is served with premium Australian wines, as well as choices including beer, spirits, and red, white, or sparkling wine. The dinner ends with a glass of port or a liqueur. The cruise returns to Southbank Promenade to finish. Depending on factors like demand, weather, major events, river closures, and tides, the vessel may be the Yarra Countess or Yarra Empress. Peak season surcharges apply on selected dates between November and January.
