Overview

A World Cultural Heritage site and one of China's four great grottoes, it is the pinnacle of Northern Wei royal grotto art. There are 45 main existing caves and over 51,000 stone sculptures, with key attractions including the Five Caves of Tanyao and the outdoor Great Buddha.
