Overview

This full-day tour begins with a hotel pickup in Krakow, followed by a drive of about one and a half to two hours to Zakopane. The first stop is the village of Chocholow, where visitors walk through the old wooden village to see traditional highlander wooden architecture. Next, the tour visits a shepherd's hut near Witow, where guests taste traditional smoked sheep's cheese called Oscypek and sample a shot of Polish vodka. After this, the group travels to Zakopane town center, where there are two and a half hours of free time. The first activity is a ride on the Gubalowka cable car (funicular railway) to the top of Gubalowka Mountain. From the viewpoint, visitors can see panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains. At the summit, there are cafes, souvenir shops, and a seasonal gravity slide, which is not included in the tour price. After descending from Gubalowka, there is time to walk along Krupowki Street, the main pedestrian street in Zakopane, lined with shops, market stalls, and restaurants. Lunch is not included. The tour also passes by Wielka Krokiew, the ski jumping hill used for international competitions, which is not accessible to visitors. The final stop is the Chocholow Thermal Springs complex, where guests have two and a half hours to use indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis, water slides, and themed children's areas. Admission includes a wristband for locker and changing room access. Food and drinks at the pool bar are available but not included. After the thermal baths, the bus returns to Krakow for hotel or apartment drop-off, concluding the approximately eleven-hour tour.
