Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.$360This tour starts with a hotel pickup in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Participants meet a local guide and receive all necessary rafting gear, including a helmet, life jacket, and paddle. The rafting takes place on the Zambezi River, navigating Class IV-V white-water rapids. The route follows the river as it drops into a gorge that is more than 328 feet (100 meters) deep at Victoria Falls and extends to over 650 feet (200 meters) deep further downstream. Guests can choose between a half-day or full-day rafting trip, depending on availability. The water level determines whether the rafting is on low or high water. During the trip, light refreshments are served, and an open bar with unlimited drinks is available. The full-day option includes a lunch break. After rafting, participants are returned to their hotel. The total duration of the activity is about six hours. Entrance fees to the park and video or photo recordings are not included. Children who can swim and weigh at least 50 pounds (23 kilograms) may join all rapids with proper life jackets and parental permission. Children under 50 pounds may only participate on lower-level rapids, based on the guide’s assessment. Participants should wear a T-shirt, shorts, and suitable shoes for rafting and hiking along the canyon.
