Overview

The Zhuoshui Scenic Area - Puhua Dark River is about 20 kilometers from the urban area and about 2 kilometers from Zhuoshui Ancient Town. It integrates underground dark rivers, three natural bridges, skylights (tiankengs), caves, and canyons, offering charming and unique scenery. Here, you can experience a three-day, two-night exploration journey. This three-day, two-night journey will be a time-travel of tens of thousands of years, taking you to ancient times, showing you wonders, and providing unexpected experiences. The Zhuoshui Scenic Area - Puhua Dark River is a masterpiece of nature's craftsmanship, a history of the evolution of water and time, and the root of Tujia culture. The three bridges in the cave are three natural bridges, each about 200 meters high. These three natural bridges are connected one after another, turning the canyon into a bridge-canyon and the caves into bridge-caves. The gaps between the bridges form a funnel. Looking up from a boat at the funnel between each bridge, the sky becomes a "line of sky," also resembling a foot. The three natural bridges span the dark river, and sunlight shines down from the 10-meter-wide bridge openings, causing the river water to ripple like scales. Boating under the bridges and exploring the caves offers a unique experience.
