People also ask

Is Amos Rex worth visiting?

Both the architecture of the building and the rooms as well as the exhibition itself were a lot of fun. The museum is included in the Helsinki Card and is therefore inexpensive to visit. There are a wide variety of exhibits (paintings, sculptures, video art, etc.). So it is definitely worth a visit.

Is the Helsinki City Museum free?

Entrance to all museums is free of charge. The museum's collections contain about one million photos, for instance popular photos of early 20th century Helsinki by Signe Brander, and 450,000 items.

Is the National Museum of Finland open?

The museum is closed for renovation. It will re-open in spring 2027.

Are there any famous paintings in Helsinki?

Some of my favourite pieces that I would highly recommend checking out while visiting: The Wounded Angel by Hugo Simberg, 1903 (one of my all-time favourite pieces of art, pictured above) Queen Bianca by Albert Edelfelt, 1877. Towards the Evening by Hugo Simberg, 1913.
