Kubah National Park

The park is a hotspot for birdwatchers and home to over 90 species of palm trees. It also houses the Matang Wildlife Centre, where visitors can observe orangutans and other wildlife. Located just 20 km from Kuching, Kubah National Park is famous for its dense tropical rainforests, waterfalls, and biodiversity.

Drive by car (or rent) to Kubah National Park, using Waze or Google Maps. From Kuching, the journey will take about an hour or so. Upon arrival, Malaysians only have to pay RM 10 per entry, Foreigners at Rm 20. You will receive a map with 2 main destinations - the top of the mountain, and Kubah waterfall.

However, species such as black hornbill, fairy pitta, greater green leafbird and great argus are just a few highlights. Kubah is also home to a number of mammal species including mouse deer, bearded pig and long-tailed macaques, but they're secretive and rarely seen by those visiting the park.

Getting There Kubah National Park is around 45 minutes drive from Kuching. City Link Bus K21 departs from the bus station near Saujana car park. The service is infrequent with departures every 2-3 hours. The first bus departs Kuching at 8 am.
