You can choose either activity when you visit. If you just want to swim in their four cenotes, yes four, then your admission is far less expensive. If you want to participate in guided tours and larn more about their cenotes and caverns, there are few options to choose from. Any option is a great option.

Kantun Chi, meaning “Yellow Stone Mouth” in the Mayan language, is an ecological park in the Riviera Maya featuring five cenotes and an underground cave. Here, you walk among ancient trees, swim in peaceful waters, and explore places where history, beauty, and wild nature come together.

You will absolutely need shoes as there is significant rocky walkways to get to the cenotes. If you don't have water shoes, take sneakers and you can just remove them to enter the cenotes. Definitely Do not skip the underground River tour. It is the highlight of Kantun Chi.
