Is TLOS worth visiting?

For a fantastic daytrip from Fethiye or Kalkan, I recommend Tlos Ancient city and Saklikent National Park. After spending one month living in the western part of Antalya region, we visited many ancient sites in the region and Tlos is definitely our favourite and one of our top things to do near Kalkan.

What are the ancient ruins of TLOS?

Tlos itself, as an archaeological site, consists of two parts – the upper and the lower. The lower part contains: a Roman amphitheatre, an ancient stadium, bath thermals and a Byzantine basilica, with the basilica built on the ruins of a Roman gymnasium and city baths.

Why is Fethiye famous?

Fethiye region is famous for the magnificent sea and underwater tuff caves, which are particularly interesting for divers. In 16 km from Fethiye Turkey near the town of Oludeniz there is a unique nature reserve Blue Lagoon, the so-called Dead Sea - the most visited and one opf the most beautiful beaches in Turkey.
