Siem Reap is home to Angkor Wat, one of the largest religious monuments in the world. This 2-day tour from Bangkok includes visits to several key sites in the Angkor Archaeological Park and the Tonle Sap Floating Village. The tour begins with a transfer from Bangkok to Siem Reap, where accommodation at a 4-star hotel with breakfast is provided for one night. Over the course of about 48 hours, the tour covers the floating village on Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake, followed by visits to Angkor Wat, the central and largest temple complex. The itinerary also includes Angkor Thom, the ancient city with its famous Bayon temple, noted for its 216 carved Buddha faces. Another stop is Ta Prohm, often called the Tomb Raider or Trees Temple due to its jungle-covered ruins. After the visits, travelers are transferred back to Bangkok or Pattaya. The tour is conducted by a licensed guide in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Airport pickup and drop-off are included. Entrance fees, meals other than breakfast, and the Cambodian visa are not included. The border crossing between Thailand and Cambodia is currently closed, so the transfer to Siem Reap must be by flight. Dress codes require modest clothing at temples, and room options vary depending on group composition.
