Overview

This 10-hour tour begins with a hotel pickup in Siem Reap before a short transfer to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise over its lotus-shaped towers. After spending one hour exploring the galleries and courtyards of this 12th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, the group moves to a quiet forest area within the Angkor complex for a chef-prepared jungle breakfast served privately. Following breakfast, the tour continues by bicycle along shaded park roads and forest paths designed to avoid busy traffic. Riders pass through ancient gateways and reach Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 carved stone faces representing King Jayavarman VII or Buddha Avalokiteshvara. The route then leads to Ta Prohm Temple, where large silk-cotton and strangler-fig tree roots grow over and through the stone walls and corridors. Throughout the cycling sections, a guide provides detailed information about the temples’ architecture and history. The ride covers approximately 8 kilometers and is supported by an air-conditioned van that carries snacks, bottled water, and offers rest stops when needed. The tour includes bike and helmet rental, bottled water, snacks, a private breakfast picnic, hotel pickup and drop-off, and an English-speaking guide. The tour ends around midday with a return to Siem Reap. The Angkor Wat entrance pass is required but not included. Child seats are available on request for children up to 14 kilograms.
