Overview

This two-day bus tour starts in Athens and includes visits to the archaeological site of Ancient Delphi and the Meteora monasteries. On the first day, a professional guide leads a walking tour of Delphi, including the Sanctuary of Apollo and other ruins, explaining their significance in Ancient Greece. After exploring Delphi, the trip continues through the Thessalian plains to Kalambaka, where participants stay overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel. The second day focuses on Meteora, with visits to two of its cliff-top monasteries. Entrance tickets to these monasteries are included. The tour returns to Athens after the monastery visits. Included in the price are breakfast and dinner, air conditioning during travel, and hotel pickup and drop-off for selected hotels. Lunch is not included, and there is an environmental fee payable at the hotel. The total duration of the tour is about 48 hours.
