Overview

This eight-hour tour in Adelaide includes hotel pickup and drop-off and a local guide. The tour starts with a five-minute stop at North Terrace to view the museum and art gallery, followed by a ten-minute visit to Mount Lofty Summit for panoramic views of Adelaide. Next is a brief two-minute stop at Victoria Square, also known as Tarntanyangga. The route continues through the Onkaparinga Hills, a scenic area where kangaroos, koalas, or emus may be spotted. The group then spends ninety minutes in the German township of Hahndorf, where visitors can eat at local cafes or browse boutique and gift shops. After Hahndorf, the tour travels to McLaren Vale for wine tastings. The first tasting is at Chapel Hill Winery, offering a structured experience in their cellar door. Then there is free time on McLaren Vale’s Main Street to visit Hardy Tintara’s cellar door, the Almond Train shop, or the Fruchocs chocolate factory. The second wine tasting takes place at Haselgrove Wines, which also offers a structured tasting and optional cheeseboards for purchase. The return journey follows a scenic coastal route to Glenelg, Adelaide’s seaside suburb, with a fifteen-minute stop. Guests may choose to take a short walk around Glenelg before rejoining the bus to Adelaide or remain longer to explore shops and restaurants, have dinner, and watch the sunset. Those staying in Glenelg can catch the tram back to the city independently. Food and drinks are not included unless specified.
