The Airlie Beach tandem skydive takes about three hours from start to finish. Participants meet at the dropzone in Airlie Beach, Australia, where they receive a briefing and are fitted with equipment. The skydive includes a jump from up to 15,000 feet over the Whitsunday Islands, providing views of the islands and surrounding coastline during freefall and parachute descent. A professional tandem instructor guides the jump. The operation is the only skydiving company based in and operating out of Airlie Beach, offering quick turnaround times so the activity does not take the entire day. Included in the experience are a professional tandem instructor, Personal Accident Insurance from the Australian Parachuting Federation, the APF levy and administration fee, and a commemorative skydive certificate. Video and photo packages, gratuities, and food or drinks are not included and can be purchased separately at the dropzone. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and enclosed running shoes. Weight and age restrictions apply, including a maximum weight limit and parental consent for those under 18.
