Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about eight hours and covers both historic and modern parts of Lima. It begins in the city’s historic center, where visitors stop at Plaza San Martin for a 20-minute introduction to Lima’s history and culture. Then the group walks along Jirón de La Unión for 30 minutes to see colonial architecture and local shops before admiring the Cathedral’s facade from a panoramic viewpoint. Next is Plaza de Armas, reached after a visit to the nearby Happy Inka Market to see local artisan crafts. The tour includes a 5-minute stop to view the Government Palace and possibly witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Afterward, the group spends 30 minutes at the Monastery of San Francisco and its catacombs to learn about Lima’s past from the 16th to 18th centuries. The tour continues with lunch in the Miraflores district. After eating, visitors spend time at Parque del Amor and Parque Kennedy, enjoying ocean views and stories about the area. Then the bus heads to Morro Solar in Chorrillos, where the group remains for 20 minutes to take in panoramic views and learn about the site’s history.
