Overview

This full-day small group tour begins with hotel pickup in an air-conditioned minivan in Siem Reap. Travelers are driven directly to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, where they spend about two hours exploring the galleries and detailed stone carvings. Following this, the group visits the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the former capital of the Khmer Empire, for a brief stop. Next, the tour continues to Bayon Temple within Angkor Thom, where visitors spend around an hour and a half viewing the central towers decorated with over 200 large carved faces. The route then passes by the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants. Around midday, the group takes a break for lunch at a nearby Khmer restaurant close to Srah Srang, though food is not included. In the afternoon, the tour visits Ta Prohm Temple, located in the jungle and known for the large fig trees growing among the ruins. Guests have about ninety minutes to walk through the temple’s complex before the return drive to the hotel. Throughout the day, a licensed English-speaking guide provides historical information. Mineral water and cool towels are provided during the tour. Entrance fees to the temples and meals are not included.
