The tour begins at the operator’s office on 6a avenida norte 60b, where participants sign agreements, receive helmets, take photos, and receive instructions. Riders then drive their ATVs to Cerro de la Cruz, a mountain site overlooking Antigua. At Cerro de la Cruz, the group spends about thirty minutes walking around the cross and enjoying views of the city and surrounding volcanoes. After this, the ATVs are parked at El Hato. Participants transfer to a 4x4 truck that takes them up the mountain to Hobbitenango, an eco-park themed on The Lord of the Rings. Visitors have about one hour to enjoy the scenery, food, drinks, and various activities at Hobbitenango. Returning by truck to El Hato, riders get back on their ATVs and continue to San Juan del Obispo, a village located near the Agua Volcano. In San Juan del Obispo, the tour visits Chocolateria Antigua, a factory producing chocolate, wine, and honey. Visitors learn about the chocolate-making process, taste different flavors, and may purchase products. The tour includes local taxes and a guide. Alcoholic drinks, food, gratuities, and pickup service are not included. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and a valid driver’s license is required to operate an ATV.
