ARISA offers Kimono and Yukata Experience Services Operated by a Japanese owner with over 40 years of experience in the Japanese kimono industry, providing an authentic kimono experience. Service staff who speak Chinese and English are available daily, so you can rest assured even if you don't speak Japanese. The store has over 300 kinds of kimonos, from elegant komon kimonos and popular lace styles to retro and Taisho romantic styles. With a wide variety of designs, you'll be sure to find one you like that perfectly matches the Asakusa streetscape. All kimonos are the same price, so you don't have to worry about extra charges. A full set of kimono (kimono, obi, zori, kinchaku) is included, and female customers also receive a free hairstyle. Experienced staff will assist you in selecting and wearing your kimono, making it easy for you to transform. Rental is for a full day, not charged by the hour, so you can leisurely visit Sensoji Temple, Kaminarimon, and Nakamise-dori without rushing, and easily enjoy your entire Asakusa trip. Additional services such as luggage storage, next-day return, commemorative photography, and rickshaw rides are also available, so you can freely customize them to suit your travel style. Couples, families, and groups of friends are all welcome. Student discounts and plus-size kimonos are also available, so you can choose with peace of mind. This activity is only available for female participants This activity is not available for male participants Children aged 13+ will be charged the same rate as adults This service is suitable for women with hip measurements of 110cm or less and men with hip measurements of 120cm or less. Please understand that the number of available kimono is limited for female customers who are shorter than 140cm or taller than 170cm.
If you are more than 30 minutes late for your reservation, a change fee of ¥500 per person will be charged, payable on-site. The hairstylist will provide simple styling services such as braiding. Please inform the staff whether you prefer an updo or to wear your hair down, as well as how you would like your bangs styled. All other details will be handled by our professionals. Yukata services will be available from mid-June to mid-September. Individuals with mobility impairments should make reservations together with their companions. Aside from valuables, changes of clothes and personal belongings can be kept for you until 17:30 on the same day. Women should choose from women's kimonos, and men should choose from men's kimonos. Pregnant women are not allowed to participate. If returned after 16:30, a late fee of 1100 Japanese Yen per person for every 10 minutes will be charged, payable on-site. Makeup Tips: Makeup should be light and include foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick, but does not include other makeup services such as false eyelashes and contouring. What to wear In winter, it is recommended to wear thin thermal underwear and warm pants. Guests who wish to wear boots are kindly requested to bring their own.
