The tour begins with pickup from your hotel, apartment, or Piraeus port in a private vehicle. You will travel through Athens, starting with a visit to the Acropolis. Here, you will see the remains of ancient buildings including the Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Erechtheion, and the Temple of Athena Nike. The guide will explain the historical significance of these sites and their architectural details. Next, the tour continues to other landmarks around the Acropolis such as the Theater of Dionysus, Herod Atticus Odeon, and the Arch of Hadrian. You will then visit the Panathenaic Stadium, known as Calimarmaro, built entirely of Pentelic marble and known as the site of the first modern Olympic Games. Afterward, the route takes you up to Mount Lycabettus for a panoramic view of Athens, showing the mix of ancient and modern city elements. The tour proceeds downtown to the Hellenic Parliament building at Syntagma Square, where you can observe the Evzones, the presidential guard, and their hourly changing ceremony by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
