Overview

This bike tour lasts about 3 hours and covers a broad range of sights across Barcelona. It starts at the palm-lined Placa Reial, where participants meet before setting off. The group then cycles to Placa de Sant Jaume, located in front of the Town Hall in the city center. The route continues through the Gothic Quarter, passing medieval streets and Roman walls, and stops at Placa Del Rei, noted as the site where Columbus met the Spanish monarchs. Next is the Catedral de Barcelona, featuring Gothic and Neo-Gothic architecture, followed by the Palace of Catalan Music, an example of Barcelona’s Modernisme style. The tour also passes a monument marking the entrance to the 1888 Universal Exhibition. Participants then visit Parc de la Ciutadella, a former fortress turned park with paths, a boating lake, and the Cascada Monumental fountain, where they can rest and take photos. The route includes a 20-minute stop at the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia to view Gaudí’s unfinished work. Afterward, riders explore Port Olimpic, showing changes from the 1992 Olympic Games, and cycle along Playa de La Barceloneta’s coastline. The final stop is the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, a Catalan Gothic church built by local fishermen and port workers. Bikes and a guide are included, with an option to upgrade to an E-Bike and optional helmets and child seats. The tour uses mostly bike lanes and pedestrian streets and is suitable for all ages, including families.
