L’Aquàrium de Barcelona marks its 30th anniversary with a complete transformation, blending technology, emotion, and education in a renewed journey through the marine world. Visitors are welcomed by the largest interactive digital floor in Europe before exploring over 80 Mediterranean and tropical aquariums. Highlights include the SubAqua Explorer immersive room, the longest underwater tunnel in Europe (80 meters) where sharks glide overhead, and dedicated exhibits inspired by the Medes Islands and Ebro Delta. Alongside spectacular marine life, from elusive sea dragons to colorful tropical fish, the Aquarium emphasizes sustainability and conservation of the Mediterranean. The new spaces are designed to engage all ages with interactive and sensory experiences. Kids can create their own digital fish in Aqua Protectors, discover the new mangrove zone through playful learning, and join in SOS Oceans, a moving blend of science and storytelling that calls for ocean protection. Located in Port Vell, this immersive attraction invites visitors to rediscover the sea with all their senses — to learn, be inspired, and connect with the beauty and fragility of our blue planet.
