Overview

This full-day small-group bus tour in Barcelona lasts about eight hours and includes pickup from your hotel or cruise ship in a new air-conditioned vehicle. The tour starts with a drive around the city to see major landmarks including Montjuïc Castle, where guests can view panoramic scenes of Barcelona and the port. The route continues along Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona’s elegant boulevard featuring Modernist architecture such as Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, La Pedrera (Casa Milà), and the Block of Discord (La Mansana de la Discòrdia). The tour also passes key spots like Port Olímpic, Plaça d’Espanya, Plaça de Catalunya, and the Olympic Ring (L’Anella Olímpica de Montjuïc). Visitors will stop outside the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia for about 35 minutes to admire Gaudí’s famous church from the exterior. There is an option to purchase skip-the-line tickets to enter the basilica at the end of the tour for an additional cost. The group then travels to Montserrat mountain, approximately an hour from the city, for about two hours. Here, the tour includes admission to the Montserrat National Park and a 30-minute visit to the Benedictine monastery, Abadía de Montserrat, which houses the statue of the Black Madonna (La Moreneta). The monastery features a basilica and offers views of the surrounding mountain landscape. The tour allows guests to bring their luggage along without extra charges and offers drop-off at your hotel, cruise ship, or La Sagrada Familia. Food and drinks are not included. Due to the amount of walking and terrain, this excursion is not recommended for travelers with mobility problems. Luggage can be stored safely in the vehicle during the trip.
