Overview

This 2-hour beginner group surf lesson takes place in Maui, USA, and is designed for students aged nine and older. The lesson is provided by Goofy Foot, the longest-running surf school in Lahaina, established in April 1994 by owner and instructor Tim Sherer. The session starts with instruction on ocean safety, ocean awareness, and basic surfing fundamentals. All necessary equipment is included for the lesson. The instructor uses a technique-based method to help students stand up and ride at least one wave during the session. This approach also teaches skills that students can use to continue improving on their own after the lesson. The group lesson is conducted in a safe and supportive environment focused on learning. Children eight years or younger must take private lessons for safety and quality reasons, as group lessons are not available for that age group.

Our Surf lessons are 2 hrs in length. We supply everything you need, just come dressed in your swim attire, bring water bottle, sunscreen and a towel. Rash guards are provided. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson/activity time to check-in and gear up. Mahalos Ages 9+ (anyone under 9 requires a 1on 1 private lesson).
