Overview

This three-hour guided kayak tour takes place in Maui’s Alalakeiki Channel. Participants use clear kayaks with pontoon attachments that make tipping nearly impossible and prevent sinking. The kayak bottoms magnify the coral reefs and marine life below, allowing guests to observe creatures such as octopus, eels, sea turtles, manta rays, seals, and various fish including the humuhumunukunukuapua'a. The tour accommodates up to 10 guests per guide and is suitable for beginners. From December to April, migrating Humpback Whales may also be seen. The tour includes unlimited snorkeling using provided equipment. Guests receive long-sleeve rash guards, reef-safe sunscreen, refillable water bottles with cold water, dry bags, and snacks like bananas and granola bars during the tour, with fresh local pineapple served upon return to shore. A professional photographer and drone operator stay on shore to record the tour, offering photo and video packages for an additional charge. Guides are CPR trained and knowledgeable about local marine life and conservation. Guests are advised to bring hats and sunglasses. There is a participant weight limit of 275 pounds, with options available by contacting the operator. The tour supports the University of Hawaii Maui College through its charity program.
