Overview

This 2.5-hour guided e-bike tour in Lisbon follows the Tagus River from the Baixa district to the Belém neighborhood. The tour starts at Praça do Comércio, a large riverside square rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. Riders then cycle along Ribeira das Naus, a renovated river beach area with grassy spaces and steps leading to the water. The route continues past the dock area below the 25th of April Bridge, a steel suspension bridge often compared to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. There is a brief stop at the MAAT Museum on the riverbank to view its modern architecture and riverside setting. The tour proceeds to Jerónimos Monastery, an example of Portuguese Manueline style dating back to the late Gothic period, followed by a stop at Belém Tower, built between 1514 and 1520 on the northern bank of the Tagus River. The tour concludes in the Belém neighborhood near the Monument to the Discoveries and surrounding parks, which highlight Portugal's Age of Discovery. The group size is limited to eight participants per guide. Included in the tour are an electric bike lesson, a custard tart and coffee, liability and personal accident insurance, and all applicable taxes. Helmets are mandatory, and participants must meet height and weight requirements. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included.
