This tour begins in Belize City with shared transport by air-conditioned minivan. Pickups are available from the FSTV cruise port, San Pedro Express water taxi, and selected hotels. Upon arrival, participants follow a forest trail led by a guide who explains the local uses of plants along the way. At the entrance to the cave system, the guide provides a safety briefing, explains the layout of seven caves, and reviews the kayaking route. Each participant receives molded heavy-duty sit-on-top kayaks, available as single or tandem, along with paddles, helmets, and life jackets. The group kayaks on a clear river flowing through a series of large cave entrances, passing natural rock formations. The guide points out places to stop for rest and offers an opportunity to swim in the river. Kayaking continues through the cave system until reaching the exit, where sunlight reflects on the water and birds can be heard along the riverbank. After kayaking, participants store their gear, use available facilities, and prepare for the return trip by shared transport. The entire activity lasts about five hours and includes a moderate amount of hiking. Participants must know how to swim. Helmet cam attachments are allowed for those who want to record the trip. River shoe rentals and other facilities are available at the park. The tour operates depending on river and weather conditions. Participants should bring reusable water bottles, swimwear, towels, insect repellent, and footwear with thick soles suitable for walking on gravel paths and river crossings. The tour is not recommended for children aged 11 and under. The tour includes helmets, life jackets, kayaks, and shared transport as part of the V.i.V. service.
