The Big Island of Hawaii is home to the Kona Coast, known for its frequent gatherings of manta rays feeding at night. This 2.5-hour snorkel and dive adventure takes place in the evening where participants can observe manta rays up close under bright lights that attract plankton, their natural food. Snorkelers float on the surface together on a custom-built board equipped with spotlights that illuminate the manta rays swimming below, allowing observation of their spins and somersaults. Certified divers stay mostly kneeling on the ocean floor at depths no greater than 30 feet, with lights positioned above and around them for clear viewing. The tour includes all snorkeling gear such as mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuits if requested.
