This half-day rafting trip lasts about three hours on the Arkansas River through Bighorn Sheep Canyon near Cañon City, Colorado. The route features mostly Class II whitewater rapids suitable for first-time rafters and families with children. The river passes through desert terrain with varied plant life and offers scenic views. During the trip, there is a planned stop where participants can swim. A professional guide leads the group throughout the rafting experience. The tour includes all taxes and fees but does not provide footwear or wetsuits. Participants should bring water shoes or sandals that can be securely fastened; Crocs are not allowed.

You will be rafting Class III (beginner to intermediate rapids) on the Arkansas River in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado! We run paddle rafts by default, which provide a more participatory experience for our guests. Oar boats or Oar assist can be requested in advance.
