This 2-hour kayak tour takes place in the protected waters of Long Bay - Okura Marine Reserve near Auckland. Participants use stable sea kayaks or sit-on-top kayaks to paddle through the water as the sun sets. The tour is led by qualified guides with a maximum group size of six guests per guide to ensure safety and personal attention. During the tour, paddlers observe bioluminescence produced by marine organisms in the water. It is very rare for the glowing effect not to appear; if no bioluminescence is visible, the guide will verify this on site and guests receive either a 50% refund or a free repeat tour. All necessary kayaking and safety equipment are provided. The tour is suitable for children aged 11 and older when accompanied by an adult. Guests are advised to bring quick-drying clothing, a towel, suitable footwear, and a change of clothes since kayaking is a wet activity.
