Overview

This three-hour walking tour takes place in the centre of Budapest, starting at the historic opera house. The route continues on foot to the Roman Catholic Basilica of St. Stephen, which houses the reliquary containing the king's supposed right hand. The tour then proceeds to a public square in the Lipótváros neighborhood before reaching the Hungarian Parliament building. Along the way, participants will stop at various locations to taste more than ten local foods and drinks. These include the finest local cheeses, hearty gulyás soup, Hungarian red or white wine, water, a secret dish chosen by the operator, freshly baked bread, rich aromatic coffee, mouth-watering strudel, crispy Hungarian lángos, tangy pickled vegetables, and Hungarian sausages. The tour features street food and highlights Budapest's food culture influenced by France and Turkey, as well as the city's current multicultural atmosphere. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, and gratuities are also not included. The itinerary and menu may change depending on availability, weather, and other conditions. Guests should notify the operator of any dietary needs in advance. The tour involves a fair amount of walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
