The Budapest Highlights Segway Tour with Live Guide offers a way to see many of the city’s main sights using modern two-wheeled, self-balancing Segways. The tour begins at the EuroSegway.hu office, where participants receive safety training and complete a supervised test drive to become comfortable with the Segway. The guided tour lasts from 5 minutes up to 4 hours depending on the chosen option. The live guide provides commentary throughout the ride in English for group tours, with private tours available in other languages. Participants visit a series of landmarks, spending about five minutes at each stop. These include the Museum of Military History, Fisherman’s Bastion, Varhegy (castle walls), Hungarian National Gallery, Matthias Church, Saint Stephen’s Basilica, Buda Castle, Citadella, Gellert Hill and Gellert Hill Cave, Statue of St Stephen, Danube River, Vaci Street, Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial, Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum, Buda Hill Funicular, Erzsebet Bridge, Garden of Philosophy, Fountain of King Matthias, Statue of Queen Elizabeth, Liberty Statue, National Archives of Hungary, Ferris Wheel of Budapest, Soviet Heroic Memorial, and Trinity Square. Helmets are provided in all sizes, along with raincoats and gloves if needed. The guide takes photos during the tour, which are included. A trolley is available for small children and is operated by the guide. Gratuities for the guide are optional and not included.
