Overview

Riders will remember steering the MonsteRoller electric scooter through Budapest’s streets, enjoying balanced and stable handling that feels more like surfing than cycling. The scooter’s wide 9.5-inch wheels and low platform contribute to its easy control and zero emissions. This small-group tour lasts between one and three hours, depending on the chosen route. Groups have a maximum of 10 to 12 participants per guide. Riders can select from multiple tour options to explore their preferred parts of the city. An expert local guide leads the tour in English or German. The tour provides helmets, rain ponchos, and warm gloves when necessary. No driver’s license is needed to join, and the minimum age for riders is 14 years, with adult supervision required for younger participants. Most routes include riding along the Danube riverbank, offering expansive views of both Buda and Pest. Stops vary by route and may include outdoor visits to landmarks such as the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Szent Istvan Bazilika, Szabadsag ter, Margaret Island, Castle Garden, Heroes' Square, and Vajdahunyad Castle. Some tours also include brief visits inside the Hungarian State Opera House lobby and the Museum of Ethnography. The Citadella stop allows viewing the city panorama despite ongoing renovations. No tickets are needed for any outdoor stops.
