Overview

The tour begins with a pickup at your downtown Buenos Aires hotel or a central meeting point if outside the pickup area. Traveling by bus, the tour lasts about 4 to 5 hours and covers the city’s main districts and landmarks. First, the route goes to Palermo, one of Buenos Aires’ largest neighborhoods. The bus passes Palermo Woods, including sights like Eco Park, Plaza Italia, and the Galileo Galilei Planetarium. If the Premium option is selected, the tour extends to include a visit to the Palermo Racetrack and the Islamic Cultural Center. Next, the tour continues through Retiro and Recoleta, an upscale area with elegant shops and cafes. The Recoleta Cemetery is visible from the bus, and Premium option guests may get off to visit it by purchasing the entrance separately. The bus then travels along Avenida 9 de Julio, where passengers see the Colon Theatre, built between 1889 and 1908, known for its architecture and acoustics. Continuing along the avenue, the iconic 67-meter-high Obelisk, erected in 1936, comes into view. At Plaza de Mayo, the main square, the bus stops for about 30 minutes. Here, passengers visit Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), Catedral Metropolitana, and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). Afterward, the tour heads to San Telmo, one of Buenos Aires’ oldest neighborhoods, noted for colonial architecture and tango culture centered around Dorrego Square. The next stop is in La Boca for a 30-minute walk. This colorful neighborhood retains its European heritage with bright buildings along the pedestrian street Caminito, where local artists display their work. The final district visited is Puerto Madero, a modern dockside area featuring the Puente de la Mujer bridge by Calatrava. The tour ends at Galerías Pacífico, a shopping center where guests can continue exploring on their own. Those on the Premium option receive transportation back to selected downtown hotels. The tour includes a professional guide, air-conditioned transport, and hotel pickup from select downtown hotels. The Recoleta Cemetery entrance fee and food or drinks are not included.
