Overview

This full-day bus tour from Cape Town lasts about 8 and a half hours and covers the Atlantic coastline and notable natural sites. The journey begins with a drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, passing the white sandy beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. Next, the route includes Chapman's Peak Drive, where the bus stops for about five minutes at a viewpoint to take in the coastal scenery, provided the road is open. The tour continues to Cape Point Nature Reserve, which spans over 17,300 acres and hosts a range of wildlife such as baboons, reebok, Cape mountain zebra, bontebok, and eland. The reserve is a large breeding area for tortoises and offers opportunities for bird watching. Visitors have about 45 minutes to explore the reserve. A short stop of around 15 minutes is made at the Cape of Good Hope, a rocky headland on the Atlantic coast. On the return trip, the tour follows the False Bay coastline through Simon's Town, where guests can visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach for about 20 minutes; this entrance fee is not included and is paid independently. The bus then passes the fishing village of Fish Hoek before returning to Cape Town. Included in the tour are entrance fees to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, pickup and drop-off at Cape Town City Centre hotels, a professional English-speaking guide, and access to Chapman's Peak Drive if it is open.
