Overview

This full-day bus tour takes about 11 hours to cover key spots in the Daintree Rainforest, Mossman Gorge, and Cape Tribulation. The trip starts with a scenic drive north along the coast, stopping at Rex Lookout for views of Trinity Beach and the Great Dividing Range. The next stop is Port Douglas, where there is a brief town visit followed by morning tea at the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre. From there, a shuttle bus carries guests into Mossman Gorge for a guided walk led by a naturalist or eco-accredited guide. Participants see granite boulders and clear river water, with the option to swim if conditions allow. The tour continues north through sugar cane fields to the Daintree Tea House for lunch, where guests choose from Barramundi, Chicken, Steak, Kangaroo, or Vegetarian meals. After lunch, the group takes a small wildlife cruise on the Daintree River that may include crocodile sightings. Then everyone crosses the Daintree River by cable ferry. The journey continues to Marrdja or Jindalbe Boardwalk for a guided rainforest walk in one of the most biodiverse areas of the Daintree. The tour reaches Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. On the return south, the bus stops at a local ice cream shop for an optional treat made from tropical fruits. The final stop is Mount Alexandra Lookout, offering views over the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island, and Low Isles before returning to accommodations. The tour operates with a maximum of 14 guests on a luxury Mercedes Sprinter bus and includes morning tea, lunch, park entry fees, and a river cruise.
