The Cardrona High Country Pub Trail Horse Trek is an intermediate-level ride lasting about three and a half hours, located 20 minutes from Wanaka, New Zealand. The trek follows trails through the Cardrona Valley mountains, passing areas with views of the Pisa and Crown Ranges and the Cardrona Ski Area. Riders will have opportunities to walk, trot, and canter along the route. A stop is made at the historic Cardrona Hotel where each rider receives a complimentary beverage. The ride is led by a professional guide who provides instruction as needed. Helmets are supplied for safety. Riders must specify their riding ability when booking to ensure suitable horse selection. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The trek operates in all weather conditions, so appropriate clothing is recommended. Souvenir photos are available to purchase but are not included.
