The tour travels about ten miles into the island’s rugged interior, reaching areas that most visitors do not see. A custom-built safari vehicle is used for the tour, providing comfortable seating and excellent viewing opportunities. An onboard naturalist shares information throughout the two-hour tour about the island’s wildlife, history, and environment. During the excursion, participants may see animals such as bison, deer, bald eagles, ravens, and the Catalina Island fox. The tour includes a stop at the Airport-in-the-Sky, where visitors can explore the Nature Center and look down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee paid supports the Catalina Island Conservancy, which helps protect the island’s plants and animals. Ferry transportation to Catalina Island is required but not included and must be arranged separately. Visitors should arrive at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled departure time for check-in. In the Catalina Cabrillo Mole, building located where ferries dock. Across from Catalina Express offices & same building as day lockers. There is a Welcome To Catalina statue in front, walk about 50 feet past. If you go through Mole building & reach the parking lot you gone a little too far.

Welcome to Catalina! We are conveniently located at Catalina Avenue and 3rd Street. Walking Directions from the Green Pleasure Pier: Walk up Catalina Avenue approximately 1 block. Our tour departure area will be on your right, right after Chet’s Hardware and 3rd Street
