Overview

The Charleston 2.5-Hour Sunset Blues and BBQ Dinner Cruise takes place aboard the three-deck Charleston Princess on Charleston Harbor. The cruise lasts two and a half hours and departs in the late afternoon to include the sunset over the harbor. Guests can enjoy live music performed by local and regional musicians. While the cruise originally featured only Blues music, it now includes various genres depending on the season. During the cruise, a BBQ buffet dinner is served, which includes pulled pork, smoked chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw, buns, sauces, tea, and water. A fully stocked cash bar is available on board for alcoholic beverages, which are sold separately. The boat passes under the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, a large cable-stayed bridge opened in 2005, offering views of Charleston’s waterfront and harbor. Taxes, fees, and the buffet dinner are included in the cruise price. Parking, alcoholic drinks, and gratuities are not included. The Charleston Princess has a 30-foot ramp for boarding, but no elevator to the salon where dinner and restrooms are located. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The cruise is suitable for groups, couples, and outings.
