This three-hour small-group land tour takes place on Chichagof Island, which has the highest brown bear population per square mile in the world. The tour begins in Hoonah, a community of about 850 residents located in the northern part of the island. Participants travel by van with individual seats, guided by a local Native expert. The route includes a stop at The Shops By HTA, Hoonah's main gift store, where snacks and drinks are available. The main focus of the tour is the search for brown bears in the largely uninhabited wilderness of Chichagof Island. Pickup and drop-off are provided at the Icy Strait 3rd Party Excursions Hub.
