It is a World Cultural Heritage site and the pinnacle of Chinese late grotto art; spanning over 1200 years from the Tang to Song dynasties, with over 50,000 statues embodying ingenious craftsmanship, where Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism coexist on one cliff, representing the ceiling of Oriental aesthetics. Baoding Mountain Rock Carvings: The cliff carvings on Baoding Mountain began in the Southern Song Dynasty. Buddhist statues are carved all over the mountain rocks within 2.5 kilometers, including the Dafowan and Xiaofowan statues centered around Shengshou Temple. On a mere 500-meter cliff, nearly 10,000 statues are unique, forming China's most complete Esoteric Buddhist grotto sanctuary. The 31-meter reclining Buddha of Sakyamuni in Nirvana has a profound artistic conception, and the 1007-handed Guanyin shines brightly, as stunning as a peacock displaying its feathers. Beisong Street: Completely built in the style of the Song Dynasty, with blue tiles and white walls, flying eaves and upturned corners, perfectly replicating the bustling market life of the Song Dynasty.
