The guide leads the group past the President's House, an open-air site that marks where George Washington and John Adams lived while Philadelphia served as the U.S. capital from 1790 to 1800. The tour continues to the Declaration House, also known as the Graff House, where Thomas Jefferson lived during the writing of the Declaration of Independence. Other stops include Congress Hall, Old City Hall, the American Philosophical Society Museum, and the First and Second Banks of the United States. Additional landmarks along the route are Carpenters' Hall, the New Hall Military Museum, Franklin Court, Christ Church, the Betsy Ross House, the Arch Street Meeting House, and the Christ Church Burial Ground, where Benjamin Franklin is buried.
