This three-hour cross-country ski lesson in Tromso is designed for beginners who have never tried the sport or want to learn basic techniques. The lesson takes place on mostly flat, prepared trails on the top of Tromsøya island, about a five-minute drive from Tromsø city center. The instructor begins by teaching fundamental skiing movements on flat terrain. After gaining confidence, participants practice skiing on small hills. The lesson includes transport to and from Tromsø city center, a ski instructor, cross-country skis, boots, and poles, plus a hot drink and lefse, a local sweet snack. Winter clothing is not included but can be rented separately at the Tromsø Outdoor Rental Center with prior arrangement. Participants should wear warm, windproof clothes and bring sunglasses and sun cream from mid-February onward. The setting allows practicing new skills independently after the lesson ends.
