The sanctuary cares for a variety of Costa Rican animals that cannot survive in the wild. Some animals were born in scientific or educational wildlife programs, while others were rescued and placed under the park’s protection by Costa Rican authorities. A team of trained professionals provides ongoing care tailored to each species. Visitors walk through specially designed habitats that meet the needs of the animals and enable observation while learning about their biology, ecology, and natural history. The ticket also includes access to the Traditional House and Botanical Garden within the park. At the Traditional House, guests receive a guided, hands-on experience involving sugar cane, coffee, and chocolate, which offers additional information about Costa Rican wildlife and culture. The entire visit typically lasts two to three hours. Alcoholic drinks and souvenir photos are available for purchase on site. Transportation to and from the park is not included.
