Overview

This 6.5-hour bus tour from Seoul takes you to key sites along the Korean Demilitarized Zone. You begin by meeting your expert guide in Seoul before heading to Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park, the closest civilian area to the DMZ. Here, you will see landmarks like the Freedom Bridge, Mangbaedan Altar, and a war-damaged steam locomotive while learning about the Korean War and division. Next, the tour continues to the Dora Observatory, where you can use binoculars to view North Korea’s village of Kijongdong across the border and hear about life there. Afterward, the coach brings you to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel beneath the border, a tunnel believed to have been dug by North Korea for military invasion. You will see the concrete barricades that block the Military Demarcation Line. Additional stops include Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge, a red suspension bridge, and Majang Lake, both offered as options in the DMZ and North Korean Defector meet-up program. The tour concludes back in Seoul with drop-off at City Hall. Transportation is by comfortable, air-conditioned coach with all admission fees and the guide included. Note that hotel pickup, tram rides, lunch, and gratuities are not included.
