Overview

This 7-hour desert safari in Dubai includes a camel ride and a traditional Emirati dinner at a Bedouin-style camp. The tour begins with hotel pickup in an air-conditioned minivan between 2:00pm and 4:30pm. Guests travel to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve where they receive an Adventure Pack and put on a traditional Sheila or Ghutra headscarf. The camel ride lasts about 45 minutes, with two guests per camel, crossing desert dunes and concluding with a sunset falconry demonstration. After the camel ride, the group arrives at a torch-lit Bedouin camp for about four hours. At the camp, visitors can get henna tattoos, watch live bread and Arabic coffee making, enjoy camel rides, and try aromatic shisha pipes. The evening includes cultural Emirati entertainment such as drumming and Yola dancing. Dinner consists of a four-course meal with soup, salad, appetizer, main course, and dessert, accompanied by water and juice. The return to hotels happens between 9:30pm and 11:30pm, depending on the season and sunset time. The camel ride commentary is provided in English. Guests should bring a light jacket and closed shoes for cooler desert evenings in winter. The maximum weight allowed for camel riders is 150kg, and the experience is not suitable for children under 5 years old.
